SEGUIN, Texas – The historic Magnolia Hotel in Seguin, allegedly haunted, offers bed and breakfast accommodation.

The owners Jim and Erin Ghedi have been working to restore the almost 180-year-old hotel to its former glory for several years and also offer guided tours.

Reservations can be made through Airbnb for the guest suite, which includes two separate bedrooms with one king and one queen bed.

The hotel is known worldwide for its paranormal activity and unique history. The Magnolia was built as a log cabin in 1840 by James Campbell, one of the first Texas Rangers, and has evolved over the years into a stagecoach station and hotel.

According to Erin, Amelia and JJ are two of the 13 ghosts who still live at the hotel, which is featured in numerous national outlets like the Travel Channel and prominent magazines like Texas Highways, Country Living, Texas Travel Magazine, True West, and Cowboys and Inder.

Under the hotel is an Indian raid shelter, which also housed the first prison in Seguin. Photos of ghosts and other ghosts were often captured in the Magnolia.

The owner Erin said she knows the history of some of them and gives insight into their history on hotel tours.

The bed and breakfast is currently open for reservations, which can be booked here.

Anyone who wants to visit the Magnolia Hotel can do so from October. Tours have been temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The man pointed to by the arrow in the photo was not physically in the room when the photo was taken. He is a full appearance.

The Magnolia Hotel is located at 203 Crockett Street in Seguin.
