Organizational culture and mental health are some of the topics to be addressed in upcoming campus events.
Texas A&M Marketing and Communications Department
April is the month for sexual assault prevention and awareness raising, and Texas A&M University Health Promotion has partnered with several campus departments and community organizations to offer prevention education and awareness programs throughout the month.
This year’s theme is “Solidarity” and pays tribute to the foundations of the national prevention and awareness-raising movement as well as a call to action.
On April 1st, Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC), UnBound Bryan College Station, and the Twin City Mission’s Domestic Violence Mission will all be attending Health Promotion to host a live panel detailing the history and meaning of the month Sexual Assault Prevention and Education will be featured while engaging in an honest discussion on empowering education, advocacy, and politics to address the intersection of sexual violence with other public health issues.
Afterwards, Health Promotion organizes 30 group discussions every Wednesday in April from 6 to 7 p.m.
Discussion topics are:
- Change organizational culture
- Men in motion
- Mental health and resilience
- Increase marginalized voices
