The momentary waiver of the Texas driver’s license ends in April

TEXAS, USA – If you’ve had to renew your Texas driver’s license or ID but couldn’t, fear not.

The period for the temporary waiver of expired licenses ends on April 14th.

Originally approved by Governor Greg Abbott in March 2020, a temporary waiver was made to remove expired driver’s licenses and ID cards due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, if you need to renew your license, the Texas Department of Public Safety is asking customers to make an appointment by clicking here.
