HOUSTON – Natural wine has been growing in popularity in recent months, especially here in Texas.
According to Texas Highways Magazine and RAW WINE, all-natural, organically grown wine is made without removing anything from the barrel or cellar. Most wines contain additives or processed ingredients that make the taste taste the way we are used to. Natural wines don’t add any of them.
In wineries, herbicides and pesticides are never used to be classified as “organically grown,” according to the USDA.
The fermentation process in natural wines is faster, using yeast to speed the process, Texas Highways wrote, resulting in a simple, unadulterated wine.
